Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CADx)
Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CADx) is software that helps clinicians interpret findings in medical images, for example by estimating whether a lesion on a Mammograms is likely to be benign or malignant.
It's the step after Computer-Aided Detection (CADe): CADe locates suspicious regions, and CADx characterises them. The output is a second opinion for the clinician, who makes the final call.
