Decryption

Decryption is the process of turning Ciphertext back into readable Plaintext using a key. It's the reverse of Encryption.

In Symmetric Cryptography, the same secret key is used to encrypt and decrypt. In Asymmetric Cryptography, a message encrypted with someone's public key can only be decrypted with their matching private key.
