Descriptive Statistics

Descriptive Statistics is the part of statistics concerned with summarising and describing the main features of a dataset, as opposed to inferential statistics, which uses a sample to draw conclusions about a wider population.

Common tools include:

• Measures of central tendency, like the mean and Median.
• Measures of spread, like Variance and Standard Deviation.
• Data Visualisation, like a Box Plot.
