Enhanced Voice Services
Enhanced Voice Services (EVS) is a voice compression standard. It's a speech codec standardised by 3GPP in 2014 for mobile voice calls, including Voice over LTE (VoLTE).
It's one of the traditional codecs that Soundstream: An End-to-End Neural Audio Codec compares against, along with Opus Audio Codec. See Neural Audio Codec.
