L1 Norm

The L1 Norm of a vector is the sum of the absolute values of its components: ∥x∥1=∑i∣xi∣\|x\|_1 = \sum_i |x_i|.

The L1 norm of the difference between two points is the absolute distance between them in a grid-like system. Also known as Manhattan Distance.
