Satoshi Nakamoto

Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin. Satoshi published the whitepaper Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System in 2008, released the first Bitcoin software in early 2009, then stepped away from the project around 2010 to 2011. Their real identity is still technically unknown, though Adam Back has been found to be the likely candidate in a number of investigations.
